Day 02
Delhi = Kalka – Nalagarh
Early morning board train to Kalaka. On arrival, meet assist & drive to Nalagarh. Nalagarh is a gateway to Himachal Pradesh in North India, 300 km of north Delhi and 40 km from Chandigarh. The Fort which was built in 1421 during the reign of Raja Bikram Chand is located on a hillock at the foothills of the mighty Himalayas affording a panoramic view of the Shivalik hills beyond the Sirsa river.

Day 03
Nalagarh – Manali (250 Kms & 7 Hrs drive)
Morning drive to Manali. Picturesque Manali, situated along the west bank of the river Beas offers variety of scenic walks through the dense forests. Particularly charming is the original village, with its temple dedicated to Manu, the Hindu sage after whom Manali is named.
On arrival check in & overnight at the hotel.
Today you will visit the Hadimba temple, shaded by a grove of stately deodars. Later walk through the village of Vashisht famous for its hot sulphur springs, piped into Turkish-style baths. Also visit Solang Valley & the snow-fed lake of Beas Kund.

Day 05
Manali – Keylong (115 kms/ 6 hrs drive)
Morning drive from Manali to Keylong over Rohtang Pass (3980 m). Decending into Lahaul alongside the swift flowing Chandra, the valley is an oasis of green potato fields. Lahaul’s social structure is an interesting mix of Buddhism & Hinduism, reflecting the close ties the region had with Tibet, Ladakh and neighboring Kullu. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon a hike visiting Khardong monastery & village. Also visit the oldest monastery in Lahaul, the 1200 year old wooden Guru Ghantal Gompa.

Day 06
Keylong – Sarchu (117 kms/ 6 hrs drive)
Morning continue drive to Sarchu over Baralachala Pass (4800 m). Visit Suraj Tal, the glacial lake that is the source of Bhaga river, one of the main rivers of Lahaul. On arrival check in at camp. Evening free to walk around in Sarchu.

Day 07
Sarchu – Tsokhar (122 kms/5 hrs drive)
Morning drive to Tsokar over Nakila pass, Morey Plain. From Sarchu onwards starts one of the most spectacular and scenic stretches of the Manali – Leh drive as this is a barren land of rocky massifs and hanging glaciers. On arrival check in at the camp. The salt lake, Tso Kar in the sunset looks stunning as a walk around the lake can help you spot black-necked cranes and ruddy shelducks.

Day 08
Tsokhar – Tsomoriri (100 kms/ 4 hrs drive )
Morning drive from Tsokar to Tsomoriri, en-route visiting a small Tsokhar Lake and later drive continue to Tsomoriri. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m (14,836 ft). It is the largest of the high altitude lakes entirely within India and entirely within Ladakh in this Trans-Himalayan biogeographic region. The official name of the land and water reserve here is the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. On arrival check in at camp. Later this afternoon explore the fascinating surroundings of the Tsomoriri Lake. Also visit the most important 300 years old Karzok monastery pledged as a 'Sacred Gift for a Living Planet' by the local community (mostly Chang-pa herdsmen).

Day 09
Tsomoriri – Leh (240 kms/ 8 - 9hrs)
Morning drive to Leh. On arrival check in at hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Morning walk through the city. Later this afternoon walk to the Leh Palace & Shankar Gompa, which belongs to Gelukspa school of Tibetan Buddhism. This small Gompa is a branch of Spituk Gompa, founded by the first incarnation of Skyabje Bakula.

After breakfast drive for sight seeing of Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Return to Leh in the evening.

Early morning departure transfer to Leh airport for connect flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, meet, assist & transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Later this evening departure transfer to International airport for connect flight to home destination.
