Several of Ladakh’s world-famous monasteries are situated along the Indus Valley, the region’s historical and cultural heartland. Follow the Old Caravan trade route to Central Asia, a “feeder” of the famous Silk Route. It takes in the world’s highest motorable mountain pass – the Khardung-la, there are superb views, south over the Zanskar Range, and north to the towering Saser Spur of the Kumarakom Range. The fascinating vista of sand and dunes between Diskit and Hundar can be explored on the back of a Bactrian (Double Humped) camel.

Morning assisted transfer to the domestic airport for connect flight to Leh. On arrival at Leh, assisted transfer to your hotel. There will be no activity on your first day of arrival as it is recommend for tourists to relax and undergo minimal exertion to enable them to get acclimatized to rarefied oxygen level in this high-altitude region ensconced in the high Himalayan plateau.
Later in the afternoon if you are feeling good, a drive to visit Leh local market followed with a drive to visit Shanti Stupa.

Morning visit to Hemis Monastery situated 45 kilometers west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hill-lock overlooking the Indus River towards the south. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha, followed by a visit to Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Later in the evening a drive to Saboo village to have a insight view of the Local Ladakhi family the way of living architecture of the local house not the least to view the local Ladakhi kitchen and also to visit the local farm land. Perhaps this would be a highlight to even interact with the local family. Followed with a tea/coffee with the family and then return to Leh

Optional: Today we have the option to witness the prayers with chants at Thiksey Monastery – where early in the morning the monks gather in the assembly hall known as "Dukhang" in local language for prayers. The prayer ceremony begins between 0600 – 0700 hrs after the ceremony you will visit the Monastery then followed by a hot breakfast at Thiksey Monastery Restaurant, and then continue with your visit to Hemis, en-route a photo stop can be arranged to capture the rays of the morning sun.
Early morning, drive towards Northwards across the Khardong La the highest motorable road in the world, after two hours of drive you will arrive at Khardong La, where you will have a brief halt to admire the spectacular views the mighty Zanskar - Stok and the Karakoram ranges and of the Indus valley, we then further continue our drive to a different landscape. Upon arrival, we check-into the tented camp.
Afternoon, we set out to visit the Deskit Monastery, Deskit Monastery, is the oldest in Nubra valley situated picturesque on a hillock. Deskit village is the largest village in Nubra valley is also the headquarters of the present administrative set up of Nubra valley.
After visiting the monastery we will have an opportunity to ride on a double humped camel along the sand dunes to Hundar village located seven kilometers from Deskit, Double humped bacterian camel was the principal animal of inner Asia used especially on the Northern part of the route beyond Karakoram Pass.
Early morning, drive to Sumoor village situated towards the east of Hundar. At Sumoor we will walk through the village side to visit Samstanling monastery. Later drive back to Leh.

Morning drive to visit Ridzong monastery, beautifully situated in a gorge away from the crowds, the monastery houses small monks where they are taught and lodged.
Later drive to Alchi Monastery or Alchi Gompa is a Buddhist monastery, known more as a monastic complex (chos-'khor) of temples in Alchi village. The complex comprises four separate settlements in the Alchi village in the lower Ladakh region with monuments dated to different periods. Of these four hamlets, Alchi monastery is said to be the oldest and most famous.
Early morning, assisted departure transfer to domestic airport to connect your flight to New Delhi. On arrival assisted transfer to the hotel. Day free at leisure.
