Day by Day Journey

Day 02

Bengaluru – Mysore

BANGALORE – MYSORE (150 Kms & 3 hrs)

AM transfer to the Mysore. En- route visit Shravanabelagola , the famous pilgrimage place of Jainism. The 58-feet tall monolithic statue of Gommateshvara Bahubali is located on Vindyagiri Hill. It is considered to be the world's largest monolithic stone statue. on arrival check in to the hotel. PM visit Mysore Palace. The Palace was built in 1912, in the Indo- Saracenic style, a combination of Hindu and Saracenic features. The construction of new palace was started in 1897. Later visit CHAMUNDI HILLS.

Evening walk by DEVARAJA market, it is an apt place to get a flavor of the local people's daily life. With more than 100 years of history, this market is well knitted into the heritage of Mysore. If you are new to the bazaars of India in general, you cannot afford to miss this.

Mysore – Mudumalai  (90 Kms & 2 hrs)

AM transfer to the  Mudumalai , On arrival check in to the hotel and visit Mudumalai National Park. Embark on the jeep safari to enjoy the tiger reserve of India lies on the northwestern hills of  Nilgiri hills. The park is famous for the Bengal Tigers, Indian Elephant and Leopards.

 transfer to OOTY, Embark on the famous Toy Train and witness the scenic beauty of the hills. On arrival check in to the  hotel. Later visit Botanical Gardens, established in 1848, the Government Botanical gardens are just like a soothing medicines for your eyes. Breathe in the fresh fragrance of plants brought here from Italy and Japan and rest your eyes on some of the most exotic flowers.

Ooty

AM  visit Deer Park, the  22 acre Deer Park was inaugurated in 1986, you can watch the Frisking deer in their natural habitats. Later visit Thread gardens, a breathtaking display of flowers, plants and lawns fabricated entirely from thread, canvas and wire awaits you here at the Thread Garden.
