Day by Day Journey

Day 02

Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram - Chennai

Morning excursion to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram. The small temple town of Kanchipuram is one of the seven sacred cities of the Hindus, among the devotees of Shiva, "Shivites" as well as to the worshippers of Vishnu, "Vaishnavites". Visit the Kamakshi temple, Kailasnatha temple, and Ekambareshvara temple. Later drive to Mahabalipuram. Here you will visit the Rock temple, which occupies a stunning position on a rocky outcrop between the beach and a lagoon. Built by the Pallava rulers in the seventh century the complex comprises of 14 cave-temples, nine monolithic "Rathas", three stone temples and two relief sculptured  rock panels.

Later drive back to Chennai. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03

Early morning assisted transfer to airport to board flight for Port Blair. On arrival at Port Blair, meet, assist and transfer to the hotel. PM visit Anthropological Museum, The Museum is one of the few windows of opportunity to understand tribal life on the island. Continue visit to Cellular Jail also known as Kala Pani or Black Waters, also it is the most prominent landmark of the Island. Later visit Corbyn's Cove beach, a distinctively shaped beach, where you can enjoy watching sunset and leisure strolls. Also witness the sound and light show at the Cellular Jail.

Port Blair - Ross Islands ~ Coral Island ~ Viper Island – Port Blair

Morning embark on a full day cruise towards Ross Island, & North Bay (Coral Island) Ross Island: First we start the exhilarating journey (by boat) to Ross Island the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime, it now stands an imposing relic, with the structure almost in debris. A small museum displays photographs and other antiques of the Britishers, relevant to these islands.

North Bay (Coral Island): From Ross Island, we proceed for a joyful trip to North Bay island (Coral Island) offering exotic coral, colorful fishes and underwater marine life. We can view these colorful corals & underwater marine life via in glass bottom boat and Snorkeling (optional). Later ferry back to Port Blair.

Day 05

Port Blair ~ Havelock Island

AM transfer to Port Blair harbor and embark on a ferry to Havelock Island. Havelock Island 54 Km northeast of Port Blair. The relatively untouched beaches offer superb snorkeling opportunities. On arrival meet, assist and transfer to the hotel. PM at leisure.

AM visit the Radhanagar beach, at the western tip of the island, where dolphins & turtles can be spotted from the long stretches of white sand. The elephants found on the island were originally brought here to work trade, but now one can spend time bathing with them.

Havelock - Port Blair

AM at leisure. Later embark on a short ferry ride to Port Blair. On arrival transfer to the hotel. PM visit markets of Port Blair where you can shop for interesting souvenirs such as pearl jewelry, made from bamboo and shells, mats made from local wood.
